Description
Our Anti-Splashing Tapes are in accordance with regulation Il-2/4.2.2.5.3 of SOLAS. It is designed to prevent pipe leakage and any fire outbreak caused by splash of combustible oil from oil pipes connected to an engine or a generator in a ship’s engine room.
Application:
- Fuel oil injection pipes, fuel oil service pipes, fuel oil valve cooling oil pipes attached to diesel engines
- Lube oil service pipes and hydraulic oil pipes attached to diesel engines
- Flammable oil pipes
- Flammable oil pump and strainer
- Fuel oil heater
The above fire hazard areas must be protected from the following sources of ignition:
- Exhaust gas pipe
- Steam pipe
- Turbo charger
- Electrical equipment
- Boiler, thermal oil heater, incinerator
